Happy December! I don't need to tell you how quickly this year went by... so, let's all just take a minute to pause and enjoy one of this year's Limited Edition Winter Luxe Boxes.
Loose Button has curated three different limited edition versions this year that you can upgrade to: the Enchantress, the Zoomer Edition, and the Chalet Chic (which Loose Button was kind enough to send over for me to play with).
The Chalet Chic Luxe Box contains eight beautifully curated products to help ring in the winter season.
EVulcano | Hair Wash & Hair Cream
This cleansing shampoo and smoothing conditioner contains olive oil extracts and the strong antioxidant benefits from Volcanic Minerals. I used it once and it left my hair looking shiny and feeling soft. The scent is also amazing (must be those Sicilian Lemons).
Paula's Choice | Clinical KP Treatment Cloths (10 Pack)
I adore Paula's Choice products. Many of the products I've tried from them have been a hit with my skin and this Clinical KP Treatment Cloth is no exception. This works well at reducing redness in my skin (typically around areas with blemishes).Suki Skincare | Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser
I love using exfoliators, especially in the Winter. This Suki Cleanser is a hybrid between a scrub and a foam cleanser. It is the strangest combination, but it works! It feels great on the skin, it's gentle enough to avoid irritating the skin and it left my skin feeling fresh. This also smells great! I love the citrus notes.
Model Co. | Power Lash Mascara & Loose Button | Eyelash Curler
The Model Co Power Lash Mascara is a lengthening mascara. The formulation is fairly smooth and easy to apply. I used it once & I've pretty happy with the longevity... no racoon eyes at the end of the day. The huge brush takes a second to get used to, but it coats every lash evenly. Coupled with the Loose Button Eye Lash Curler and you're set.Nicole by OPI | Profoundly Purple
I wish all nail polishes came in such cute and tiny packaging. I love this mini polish and the colour is gorgeous, too. A dark plum shade with a hint of a metallic shimmer. Can't wait to wear this on my tips.Biotherm | Aquasource Cocoon
There's nothing like a silky, smooth, hydrating moisturizer (especially during the winter). Described as a "balm-in-gel," it feels incredibly hydrating on the skin. The gel formulation is lightweight and (surprisingly) leaves no oily residue on the skin).
There are only a couple more days to pick up your Winter Luxe Box, so if you're interested in this box (or the the other limited edition boxes), head over to Loose Button's site to check them out (link!)! If you're already a subscriber to seasonal Luxe Boxes, upgrade your box to a the Chalet Chic box here (link!) Or if you want to treat someone to a Luxe Box, gift one here (link!)
Remember, you only have until December 3rd to pick up a Winter Luxe Box! :)

The new spring season is (slowly, but surely) bringing us more sun, nicer weather, gorgeous pastels, and.... a new Luxe Box! Yes, it's that time again— a specially curated box of goodies to bring on the new season.
This season's box came packaged in the same sturdy box as previous seasons. I love re-purposing this box for storage— so handy!
Opening the box, there were six (I'm including the shampoo / conditioner combo as one) products tucked inside the soft silk drawstring bag. I also love re-purposing this bag for travel— it's great to pack shoes in.
To start, the hair stuff...
I have always enjoyed using Fekkai products (I've been using them since before they dropped the Frederic). This spring Luxe Box contained two travel sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner from the PrX Reparatives line. I don't know about you, but my hair is in some serious need of TLC from winter. I can definitely appreciate the Argan extract infused in this combo— my hair is eating it up. I love the scent, too!
This box is also feeding my obsession with blush with the Be a Bombshell blush in Love Me. It's a beautiful sheer pink with a bit of shimmer. I have been layering it with a matte counterpart for a luminous effect and it's gorgeous. While it is shimmery, it isn't incredibly pigmented, so the shimmer is subtle on the cheeks.
I think we all know how much I love Essie Mint Candy Apple. Even though this new bottle is a bit more on the "Robin's Egg blue" than it is "mint," I still love the colour. It's a great pop of spring on the nails.
Dry hands are a way of life for me these days, so I cannot get enough of this L'Occitane hand creme. I've actually almost finished it up, so a repurchase is definitely in order. The shea butter in this smells so good! Plus, it's leaves my hands feeling silky and smooth.
I love Lancome's Genifique Concentrate. It's definitely in my Top 5 "Big Girl" face serums. It's lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin. I typically use it at night, but it's also notable to mention that it sits well under makeup, too.
These Loose Button Gel Eye Pads are wonderful. You can use them warm or cool but I've been doing the latter. You can pop them in the fridge for 40-60 minutes... or if you're like me, leave them in there overnight because you forgot about them. Place them over your eyes in the morning (or night) and get ready for a cooling, relaxing, spa-like time. They're great for the morning after those late nights when your eyes are feeling a bit puffy.
Did you get a Spring Luxe Box? What products did you enjoy the most? I think my two favourite products in this season's Luxe Box are the blush and the gel eye pads.
Ps, the Summer Luxe Box is being curated as I type. If you're interested in one, pop over to Loose Button's website!x
Pps, I recently picked up a new Macro lens. These photos weren't shot with it... but I just wanted to let you know you can look forward to some up close, macro goodness soon :)

A new season is upon us and Loose Button has brought out a few limited edition Luxe Boxes in celebration of the arrival of fall. They sent over the LOULOU edition box*, which is chock full of products handpicked by LOULOU Magazine's beauty team.
Klorane | Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk
An extra gentle dry shampoo, which helps revivify your second day hair by adding volume. The oat milk will help moisturize, soften, and protect your hair.
Barefoot Venus | Bath Bliss
This smells amazing. It was the first thing I sniffed when I opened the box. I used it the other day and it was just as wonderful as it smelled. Leaving my skin feeling silky smooth and my chakra oh-so relaxed, I definitely wouldn't mind picking up more of these.
Covergirl | Nail Gloss
Grapevine is a gorgeous shimmery purple. I wore this immediately when I received it. It lasted about 5 days on my nails with minimal chips. I quite like the formulation of these Covergirl polishes -- I've been loving Almost Nude lately, too.L'Occitance | Night Cream & Skin Oil
The Immortelle Precious Night Cream is a nighttime moisturizer. It is supposed to reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles. I cannot attest to that (granted, I don't have deep wrinkles yet), but I did wake up to soft & hydrated skin. The Almond Supple Skin Oil smells amazing. It is enriched with almond oil (doy) and Cameline oil. My skin felt silky smooth afterwards.
Be a Bombshell | Eyeliner
A black eyeliner with a water-resistant formulation. The applicator is similar to the fine point of a Sharpie marker. I found it did tug a little on the lash line, but I was impressed with how well it stayed on throughout the day.Loose Button | Eyeshadow Brush
A small (or maybe medium) eye brush with fairly soft bristles. When used flat, the short bristles are great for packing on eyeshadow. Turned on its side, it could also be used to define the crease.Michael Kors | Fragrances
Three samples of Michael Kors' new fragrances: Sporty, Sexy, and Glam. Sporty is a citrusy scent with hints of warm wood. Sexy is an amber scent wrapped in sandalwood, and layered with white flowers. Glam is a jasmine scent with accents of creamy woods.Luxe Box is a seasonal service and a one-time subscription costs $26, but if you're planning to get a Winter Luxe Box, you may be interested in upgrading. Loose Button is offering two limited edition boxes from Zoomer (extra $12) and LOULOU (extra $7). Check them out here!
Did you get a fall Luxe Box? What was your favourite product? x
(*) Box was provided by Loose Button
A couple weeks ago, I did a post on the various Summer Luxe Boxes that Loose Button is offering this year. Well, here's a sneak peek at the LOULOU Edition! There's a fun assortment of different products ranging from skincare, makeup, and nails. Ten specially curated products for your sampling pleasure...
Philosophy "Purity" 3-in-1 Cleanser
A product that cleans, tones, and is gentle enough to remove eye makeup? Yes, please! This is the perfect companion to my Clarisonic.
Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa
Who doesn't love a relaxing & hydrating face mask? Can't wait to try this. Masks are a great way to get healthy-looking skin by morning.
Vichy Liftactiv 10 Serum for Eyes & Lashes
I've tried the serum for the face & it was lovely. I cannot wait to see what this variation will do for my lashes.
Olay CC Cream
This has been out in the US for a while now, but it won't be making its way across the border until August apparently. I'm pretty excited to try this. I haven't quite found a soulmate in BB yet, so maybe it will be in CC? I love the helix design of the cream, too.
Philosophy "Purity" cleanser, Vichy "Aqualia Thermal" Night Spa, Vichy "Liftactiv 10" Serum, Olay "CC Cream"
Cake Heavy Cream
This hand balm smells divine! Seriously. Have you ever sniffed vanilla birthday cake batter? Well, that's what this smells like. It's a rich thick cream that's so moisturizing on the hands & heavenly to smell. All of your senses will be buzzing.
Just Cavalli Fragrance
I adore little bottles of fragrance -- I've sort of made it my new thing to collect them. This is Cavalli's latest scent and it's a sexy blend of florals. Very feminine with a hint of seduction. Aren't I the best at describing scents? ;)
Cake "Heavy Cream" hand balm, "Just Cavalli" fragrance
Kérastase Elixir Ultime
I'm a sucker for these hair oils, and although I don't have colour-treated hair, I know I'll enjoy this one, too. If nothing else, they leave your hair looking super glossy (sans greasy).
Condition Culture Knotties
The ribbon looks so cute in the hair & I love the fun finishes. My hair is just barely long enough to use these... and for that, I am grateful.
Clinique High Impact Mascara
I've heard many good things about this mascara & I can't wait to try it. If the formulation is anything like the Bottom Lash mascara, I have a hunch it won't smudge, flake, or clump. What more could I ask for?
Kérastase "Elixir Ultime," Knotties hair ties, Clinique "High Impact" mascara
Essie Sleek Stick (Embrace the Lace)
I love nail strips -- they're so easy & convenient (zero dry time). These have a beautiful nude base & a white baroque lace. The strips are also UV Cured for extra-long wear time.
Essie Sleek Stick in "Embrace the Lace"
Will you be getting a Summer Luxe Box? Also, don't forget -- you have until July 7 to upgrade your Luxe Box! All you have to do is head over to Loose Button's website (link*)!

Loose Button is doing something a little different for their Summer Luxe Box. In addition to their regular Summer Luxe Box, they have four specially themed boxes you may choose from instead. How fun! I love when there's an element of customization.
Like I said there are four limited edition themed boxes you can pick from, and they are:
Like I said there are four limited edition themed boxes you can pick from, and they are:
- the LOULOU Box;
- the Fragrance Box;
- the Condition Culture Box, and;
- the Wedding Box.
Here's a better look at each of the limited edition boxes. All the products you may received are listed, as well as how big of a sample you receive (whether full size or deluxe sample).
Some of these boxes have an additional upgrade cost -- so that's an extra few dollars on top of the cost of a regular box (which is $26) -- and some of them are free to upgrade. Depending on what kind of products you're interested in receiving, the additional upgrade fee will probably be worth it.
So many fun boxes to choose from! I spy the new Olay CC Cream, too. That doesn't hit shelves until August!
There's a box for everyone, really. One for the fragrance lover, the hair lover, the bride-to-be or the wedding-guest-to-be, and the trend-setter. If you're not interested in any of these, of course you can stay with the regular Luxe Box. I'm certain it will be just as lovely.
There's only a limited supply of each box, so if you're interested in any of them, I'd pop over to Loose Button's website asap. If you're not subscribed to Loose Button's seasonal Luxe Boxes yet, click here to sign up*!
Are you already subscribed? It's definitely a great box to choose if you're underwhelmed by monthly boxes, but still like a treat every few months. Which box would you choose? x

No monetary compensation is being received from any click-throughs.

I received two beauty boxes in the mail the other day and I thought I would share them with you. It's actually the last time I'll be getting these boxes -- at least for now. I need a break from these subscription services at the moment.
The two I received are the Luxe Box and the Topbox.
Luxe Box is now a seasonal box (and the price is $25 plus tax every 3 months), while Topbox is monthly (and recently upped their price to $12/month).
I was quite pleased with my Winter Luxe Box, so I will start with that one. I love the card that came with the box -- super cute! The drawstring pouch the products were wrapped in was a nice touch, too.

A lot of goodies were spilling out of this month's Luxe Box:
- Essie Nail Polish in She's Pampered. It's from the Winter collection and it's a pinkish red shade.
- A mini Eyeko Skinny brush mascara. I received an Eyeko product in last season's box and am loving it, so I'm excited to try this mascara.
- A Loose Button kabuki. I love kabuki brushes! This one is quite soft and the Loose Button logo on the handle is adorable.
- Schwarzkopf Dust It is an interesting hair product. I haven't tried it yet, but it is supposed to give your hair volume and natural texture with a matte finish. It's a full-size bottle and it's one I actually picked from the "First in Line" option.
- B.Kamins Daily Lotion is really nice on the skin. It's moisturizing and lightweight.
- Dermalogica Precleanse is a cleansing oil. It has a lot of natural ingredients in it and I'm excited to try it.
- A mini fragrance bottle of the Donna Karen Woman. I love receiving mini bottles of fragrances. I've actually started collecting them because I think they're so cute. It has an interesting scent -- kind of fruity / citrus-y.
- A hair serum from Kerastase called Christalliste Lumiere Liquide. I really enjoy using Kerastase products, I imagine this one will be no exception.

***
On to my December Topbox. Nothing to get excited about, really. I did enjoy the festive packaging, but the products were nothing to write home about -- especially considering the price increase. I was expecting something a little different, a little more.

There were four product in this box:
- Ferro Cosmetics Mineral Foundation. I'm interested to try this. I'm quite a fan of mineral makeup. It's a small jar, but I find that mineral makeup can last a long time.
- A hair product from Goldwell called the Jelly Boost. I don't often use this type of product on my hair, but it is a gel that is supposed to volumize and texturize.
- A Balenciaga fragrance, which I had already received in last last month's box (this time without the bonus of a Balenciaga pouch).
- Two Pangea Facial Cream packets. Made of all natural ingredients and is supposed to slightly matify the skin.

So, yes, at the moment, I have umsubscribed to both the Luxe Box and the Topbox. I will probably re-subscribe in the future, but for now, I think I'll spend the $37 on something else.
What boxes have you received this December? x
Ps, my apologies if my blog has been eating your comments! I just noticed a bunch have gone unpublished in the last few months because they were flagged as spam. I've hopefully rectified the situation! :)
I already gave you a little preview of the Luxe Advent Calendar in my last post, but here's a better look.
The Luxe Advent Calendar is a beauty lover's take on the traditional chocolate advent calendar. Instead of chocolate goodies, each door opens to a new beauty surprise.

The packaging is really cute! It came beautifully wrapped in festive paper with a lovely note. It was like unwrapping a present, a rather large present.

The little doors are easy to open and reveal a new product every day (if you have the patience to wait to open it, of course).

I, however, was not that patient and tore it open immediately. So, spoiler alert!
I'm not going to share all the products with you, juts a few here and there. The packaging of these samples are really cute!
Skincare items -- I love trying out new skin products (from left to right):
- Lancôme Généfique Youth Activating Concentrate
- Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator Eye Serum
- shu uemura phyto-black lift concentrate
- shu uemura phyto-black lift radiance boosting lotion
- Lancôme Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector

Some fragrances. Love the bottles. There were some scents that weren't for me though, particularly the Opiums (from left to right):
- Lancôme Trésor Eau de Parfum Spray
- Yves Saint Laurent Belle D’Opium Eau de Parfum
- Giorgio Armani Attitude, Eau de Toilette
- Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio Eau de Parfum
- Yves Saint Laurent Opium Eau de Toilette Spray

There were two liptsticks. One was a mini tube of YSL Rouge Pur Couture in No. 1, it's a gorgeous red!

The other is a Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge, I'm not sure on the colour, but it's a pretty pinky mauve with a bit of a lustre. This one is a pretty big tube.. may even be a full-size, or very very close to it.

Mascaras galore (from left to right):
- YSL Effet Faux Cils Shocking
- Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara
- Lancôme Hypnose Doll Lashes

This is the one product I was disappointed in. It's the Giorgio Armani Eau de Jade, and it came in this little box, but the fragrance atomizer was the garden variety one you could get at any fragrance counter. Nonetheless, it's 23 gems over one dud.

So there's a little peek inside, there's 8 more great samples hidden in there that I know you'd love!
Now on to the giveaway (which I would just like to say is not sponsored at all by Loose Button and / or affiliates)...
This Advent Luxe Calendar is all sold out (and was only available in Canada)... but I will be giving one away to one of you, anywhere in the world!
