Today's face of the day is also this week's Beauty Panel challenge, which was all about transitioning beauty / skincare routines from summer to fall. (Unfortunately) that time is upon us.
When I think fall, no matter the trends, I always think of deep colours (like plums, crimsons, and reds). I love wearing a berry stain with a clean, matte face. I'm currently loving a new TwistUp Retractable Lipstick Crayon from Annabelle called Cherry. It's a rich colour that's perfect for fall. Even though the TwistUps are comfortable to wear and very creamy, I still like to add a glossier finish using a limited edition Maybelline Babylips in Pink Shock.
The rest of my face is simple. I'm wearing the new Covergirl Clean Whipped Creme foundation. I've been playing around with it for a couple of months now and I like it. It's the perfect "matte-not-dry" finish for me. It love the light (buildable to medium) coverage, so I don't find it really noticeable or heavy on the skin. Look out for a review soon :).
No blush (surprise, surprise). Just a bit of bronzer to warm up the face & define the cheeks.
I've also been bringing out all of my "almost black" polishes. Here I'm wearing RGB in Deep, but I also love the classic OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. I'm also partial to greige shades, like Essie Chinchilly and OPI You Don't Know Jacques.
Trying out a Lisa Eldridge-esque pose here
