Now, I'm not the hugest fan of the Dior Addict Ultra Gloss but I saw this colour and fell in love. It's a bright shimmery tangerine. Pantone colour of the year -- though I'm sure, like me, you're all tired of hearing that.

The gloss itself is nice... not too sticky, not too runny, staying power could be better. It has a lovely applicator, though I prefer the brush on the lip polishes.

The colour is really what sold me. I love the shimmer. It looks beautiful on the lips (wish I had taken a shot of it on). Orange Pareo is a limited edition colour, so if you're interested, you better hurry!

I received my Topbox the other day and here's what I received...


Stila Forever Your Curl Mascara & HD Beauty Balm
The mascara contains an encapsulated raw ingredient that's supposed to enhance lash-curl memory by drying down to hold the curl of your lashes. It has a nice fiber brush and a good formula, however, I don't see this luring me away from my current mascara fave.

The Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm is supposed to visibly improve the look and feel of skin, while doubling as a primer to help makeup stay on through the day. I haven't tried this yet but I've heard good rumblings about it.


Get Creamed Body
This is a Naked Decadence Salon Hair Wash. It is formulated without the harsh chemicals that some shampoos can contain, so it cleans your hair without stripping natural oils. It has a very organic smell due to all the natural ingredients.



Pari Beauty
At first I thought this was a lip gloss, but it's actually a Precious Glow Eyeshadow Intensifier & Primer. It's a beautiful shimmery lotion that works great for the eyes, face, or body. It works as a great base or as a highlighter.



Another great assortment of products in this month's box. A mix of makeup and hair products. Did you receive a Topbox this month? x

This month's box was full of surprises. I stuck with Classic with a Twist this month and it did not disappoint.

On top of two beautiful nail polishes, I received a tube of sunscreen, a lip balm, extra brushes (for the messed up brushes in last month's box), and two pixy stixs! Do you remember Pixy Stixs? Basically sugar flavoured sugar, i.e., delicious :).



Lauren
A bright pink, almost neon. Two coats for a beautiful opaque color. It has a shiny, creme finish.




Julep Daylight Defense Lip Balm
A vanilla mint lip balm with SPF15. It feels great on the lips. Applies smoothly and smells great. WHen you apply it, you will notice a slight tingling on your lips from the hint of mint.

Here's a look at what is inside my makeup bag. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I spent the weekend at Niagara-on-the-lake. This is all the makeup I brought with me. Basically the face I've been wearing lately. Same old, really.

Chantecaille Just Skin (in Wheat) has been my tinted moisturizer of choice. I purchased it a few days ago and I've been really enjoying it. I will post something more substantial soon. My new holy grail concealer, Garnier Anti-Dark Circle Roller, was in tow.

I always find myself bringing my NARS blush palette, but I'm never just happy with that, so I took my Bare Escentuals blush in Rose Radiance. I cannot forget my Chanel Bronze Universal. I also brought Benefit Hoola for good measure but didn't end up using it.

I only brought a couple lip products with me. Surprise, surprise. Dior Addict Extreme in Lucky, Smashbox O-Gloss, and Maybelline Baby Lips. Something for any lip mood.

This month's Glossybox was heavy! It arrived in my mailbox today and I wasn't expecting it because I didn't received tracking information. I kind of liked the element of surprise. There were a lot of goodies in this box, take a peek for yourself...




1. Sebastian Professional Volupt Shampoo

One of the culprits as to why the box was so heavy: a full-sized bottle of shampoo! This shampoo is supposed to amp up the volume in your hair. On the bottle it even says that it "contains cushioning-particles to provide a volume boost and soft touch." Now, I don't know anything about that since I haven't tried it yet, but it does smell great! Very shampoo-y.




2. Curel Foot Cream

I like Curel products, they feel great on the skin and they're moisturizing. This foot therapy is coming at just the right time. With sandal season upon us, it's important to keep our pedis looking great!




3. Simple Eye Makeup Remover + Refreshing Facial Wash Gel

I am falling in love with this brand. I've already tried both of these products and I really enjoyed them. They both feel great on the skin. My skin felt cleansed and fresh. No left over residue. No strong (if any) fragrance. These products really are simple and kind to the skin.

They're the perfect travel sizes. I plan on bringing them with me this weekend on a little getaway.




5. boxx Cosmetics Cream Corrector in Orel

I have never tried boxx products before but this looks promising. The packaging is simple. They're made to go straight into a palette. I love/hate this idea. I love that there's no bulky extras but what about those who don't have palettes to dispense this into?

So this is an oil-free corrector that can be used as a primer, concealer, foundation, or brightener. I colour I received is in Orel. This colour works great for my skin right now, though it probably won't match once Winter strolls along. The shade is not as dark as the pictures portray, but close to it.



This box was great! Blew me away again, Glossybox. You make the wait worth it. x
