I just got this brush yesterday and I love it already! I purchased it through Amazon (US version), it was reasonably priced at $9.99 (a steal considering the quality) and shipping to Canada was around $8.
Now, technically, this is a foundation brush but that's not why I bought it. I bought it for cream blushes. I was watching one of Estée's (from EssieButton) videos and she mentioned that this was a great brush for that purpose.
I really don't like using my fingers for cream blushes -- I find it hard to blend to a natural finish, you get product all over your fingers, and it's unsanitary.
Though I can't comment on how it performs with foundation, here are my thoughts...
What I love:
* The size of this brush is amazing for blush application.
* The brush hairs are synthetic so it packs on colour instead of absorbing it.
* It's so soft!
* I like the density of the hairs.
* It's quite affordable.
What I don't love:
* The base of the handle. The brush feels great in the hand but the base is impractical for me. It's great that you can stand it up on your counter but how am I supposed to get a beloved brush guard over that? Also, if you keep your brushes in jars (with or without beads), it's a little awkward with this brush design. Plus I don't see it having the longevity of a regular ol' handle.
Other than that, I absolutely love this brush and would highly recommend. I am also expecting the expert face brush any day now, so expect a review on that soon. I have tons of new products collecting that I should really haul/review.
What other Real Techniques brushes would you recommend? x
