These came out earlier this year (May, I think) and I am still loving them! So much so that I though I'd dedicate an entire post to them.
The Dior Addict Fluid Sticks are in that new category of hybrid lip products. I think this is one of the better lipstick / gloss / balm fusions on the market right now. They feel so plush and cushiony on the lips and, depending what shade you get, it offers a rich opaque application.
Plus, can we take a minute to admire the packaging? Even the packaging is a hybrid between gloss and lipstick. I love that!
The applicator, on the other hand, is a simple tapered doe foot that feels soft and smooth on the lips. I love the pointed tip because it helps get into all the crevices (weird word to describe lips, right? It's the best one I could think of).
I picked up three shades on the first day they hit the Dior counters and as I'm writing this post, I'm asking myself why I haven't picked up more since I really do enjoy them so much.
Nonetheless, I'm content with the ones I have right now, which are (below, l-r) #219 Whisper Beige (a warm nude), #338 Mirage (a coral nude), and #689 Vertigo (a rosy / berry hue). My absolute favourite is Vertigo. I think that goes without saying as this colour family is the one I gravitate towards most in every lip product (Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick in Rose or Burberry Lip Glow in Blush). I will definitely be busting this out for an upcoming holiday soirée.
Mirage is a gorgeous coral shade that I loved busting out during the summer. It paired beautifully with apricot cheeks (courtesy of NARS Lustre). I will say that Whisper Beige probably wasn't my best pick. While the application is great, the colour is a little light for me ten months out of the year. I feel like it washes me out a lot when I wear it.
The line boasts 14 gorgeous shades that are definitely worth a swatch, although at CDN $36.00 each, they're best bought in moderation.
