Winter Wear at Raindrops

Can you believe that today is the official start of winter? Now's the perfect time to start thinking about some warmer outerwear!

I recently popped into Raindrops (located on the Concourse Level of the Holt Renfrew Centre, 50 Bloor Street West in Toronto) recently to check out some of their awesome winter pieces. Here are a few that caught my eye:

1. Quartz Nature | Nadine | $750

This one is my favourite. I love the details of the bottom pockets, they look so cool with the water drop shape. In vogue this season, visible drawstrings at the waist & hem allow you to vary the coat’s shape. It's also made from the best Canadian down with a fur trim. It's lightweight, warm and a great neutral colour.

2. Aigle | Cuckmere Down Parka | $575

Long, warm, quilted parka, both waterproof and breathable, trimmed with 7/3 duck down. This coat combines functionality and comfort with the warmth of down, the convenience of a double slider zip, the protective inner sleeves and the detachable hood. Elegance and femininity in its tailoring and belted waist. Also love the leather details and removable fur.

3. Aigle | Blodwen Military Parka | $425

Another great from Aigle, with the same waterproof and breathable, trimmed with 7/3 duck down. It is made from a slightly satiny, supple fabric that is very pleasant to wear. The down guarantees optimal natural insulation that retains heat and provides a great feeling of comfort. It's a practical coat with large warm pockets and adjustable cuffs with sleeve.

4. Obermeyer | Aria | $325

This is more of a sporty piece -- great for the slopes. Trimmed with details that enhance and create a jacket with an individual spirit and subtle uniqueness. I love the bright, fun colour and the mini-herringbone design, too!

Raindrops has so many gorgeous jackets for every style. Definitely go check them out if you're in need of new winter coat.

l-r: Creenstone Color Blocked Fitted ($550), NILS Alley ($625), Obermeyer Penelope ($425)

Ps, today is the last day for 40% off! Go, go, go! :) x

Winter jackets are soo pricey. I wish companies took Canadian weather into consideration and drop the prices a little since we're in dire need of good quality jackets LOL! I live in Winnipeg so winters here are pretty intense.
