Essie Bridal Collection | 2013

I know wedding season started a couple months ago, but better late than never. So, whether you're planning to saunter down the aisle or you're an attendee to a wedding this summer, Essie has you covered with their bridal collection for 2013. It's a mixture of sheer and shimmery shades that you're sure to fall in love with.

l-r: "No Baggage Please," "Meet Me At the Altar," "Using My Maiden Name," "My Better Half"

NO BAGGAGE PLEASE
A pale pink with a very faint silver shimmer. Application is a little finicky due to the sheer nature. I used three thin coats for an even finish. It's a beautiful colour -- kind of like a shimmery version of Essie Fiji.

MEET ME AT THE ALTAR
A light lilac with fine silver shimmer. It's a gorgeous pastel shade. This is another sheer polish, so it took three thin coats for an even finish. The shimmer isn't that noticeable in the picture, but it's beautiful under certain angles.

USING MY MAIDEN NAME
A bluish pale violet with iridescent shimmer. The shimmer is beautiful -- it isn't properly captured on the nails, but you can see the gorgeous pink shimmer in the bottle. Application was good. The formulation is a little thicker and only two coats were necessary for an even finish.

MY BETTER HALF
A muted magenta with iridescent shimmer. The silver shimmer in this polish isn't visible in the photo, but it's fairly noticeable in person. Application took two coats for an even finish. This beautiful shade reminds me a little of Essie Splash of Grenadine -- very summery.

My favourite is a tie between Using my Maiden Name and My Better Half. I love the vibrancy of the colours. Which one if your favourite? x

  1. I'm not going to any weddings this summer, but I'd still pick some of these up because they're so pretty! (:

  2. I have two weddings in August so maybe I'll just these to my friends because they want me to do their nails! I like that they're not just nudes or blah colours, but actually have some pizzazz to them! I like looking at this collection as a group. They're so cute together!

  4. I am jealous of your nail swatches, I am absolutely terrible at them as I always feel slightly awkward about how to put my hands...in the end they end up on a nail plate.

USING MY MAIDEN NAME was my favorite from this set!
