NOTD #3: Orly Fowl Play

I love dark purples in the Fall so naturally I was drawn to this one from Orly's Birds of a Feather collection. It's cutely named Fowl Play and it's a dark purple jelly based polish. I only applied two coats but it would probably take three or four to get a really opaque color. It's just the nature of the polish.

I love the glitter in this though. It's not the traditional cookie cut glitter but random shatters and flakes of glitter. Plus, it's a different sheen in various lighting. I should've taken a macro shot to illustrate this better. Hopefully you can see the gorgeousness of the polish.

It wears well. I've been wearing it for a few days now and have yet to see any chips. I also love the bottles of Orly polishes. The rubberized lid is amazing; it makes it really easy to open the bottles and provides a good grip when painting your nails.

I'm thinking of going for a pure glitter polish for my next mani (instead of just as an accent nail). I'm becoming obsessed with glitter.

On another note...

I finally received my Starbucks gold card in the mail today. I will spare you the embarrassing details but I will say that I was unabashedly beaming when I opened my mailbox.

Hope you all had a great Monday!
