Since Halloween is right around the corner, I was inspired to create a Halloween inspired nail design. It is a really fun, festive, and easy design to create! Read more to see how you can recreate it...
Today was the grand opening of Topshop in Canada at Yorkdale. It's part of the Bay. I wasn't planning on going but I needed to pop into Holt Renfrew anyway, so I decided to go a little earlier to check it out.
You'll have to excuse the blurriness of some of the pictures. I quickly snapped them with my iPhone.
I have been waiting for Topshop to come to Canada for a while now. I've shopped there before in other countries and I love the style and unique pieces you can find there. A lot of people have the misconception that it's the same as H&M or Forever21. I suppose it's similar in the sense that it's a trendy store... but in terms of the price point, it's definitely not as inexpensive as H&M or Forever21. Topshop has clothes (obviously), shoes, accessories, and even makeup.
I didn't end up purchasing anything today except for a knit infinity scarf. Topshop has some really gorgeous items though. I will definitely be going back soon to pick up a few things. I just wasn't really in a shopping mood today. I did try some things on though. Mostly dresses because that's the reason I went to the mall in the first place. I didn't find any dresses that suited the idea I had in my head, but I tried a couple on anyway for fun.
This was the first dress I tried on. I loved the colour, I think it came in two of three others though. I also love the crochet detail. It's a little conservative with the long sleeves and modest hem but also little sexy because of the peek-a-boos of skin. The sizing on this dress was a little off. I find that I am between sizes.
The second dress was a little more formal. Very plain from the front with a sweetheart neckline and a pleated skirt. The back is what really drew me in though. It had a cute heart cutout. I didn't like how the zipper at the back buckled though.
If you don't live nearby & can't check out Topshop yourself, don't worry! You can find most of their items online at theBay.com/Topshop! So happy shopping!

In my last Glymm box I received this full-sized blush from Vasanti Cosmetics. A gorgeous coral color from a company I had never heard of before. So I was pleased to come across more of their products during a recent trip to Shoppers Drugmart.
They have a wide range of products including blush, eyeshadow, lipstick, lip gloss, concealer and foundation.
I was immediately drawn in by their range of lipsticks. One particular line was called the Ultra Luxe Lipstick with Peptide Technology and all the names were of different countries. When I tested one on my finger -- yes, I like to swatch lipsticks on my fingers in store because I feel that the tips of the fingers best mimic the texture of lips -- I was really pleased with the formula and how it applied. Naturally I had to buy one (or three).

The colors I chose were Aruba (a peachy pink color), Jordan (a beige color), and Denmark (a rich magenta color).

I love the colors and I love how they apply. It's hard for me to choose lipsticks because I always look for lipsticks that are moisturizing on the lips. Often I will buy something and it's so difficult to wear because it's so drying. Not the case with the Vasanti Ultra Luxe lippes. They go on smoothly and don't dry my lips.
I will definitely be purchasing more colors.
Have you tried this brand before? If you have, let me know some of your favorite products so I can pick it up next time!
