I have the names of the winners of my Luxe Box/Glymm Giveaway. I picked three winners (one from my YouTube channel, one from my blog, and one from my twitter) using Random.org. Funnily enough, all the winners picked Glymm so they will all be receiving a December Glymm box.
The winners are as follows:
Please contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org by December 1st to redeem your prize. Be sure to include your full name and complete address.
Thank you all for participating in this giveaway! Keep a look out for more to come!
Loose Button has just released another video on their Limited Edition Lancome Luxe boxes!
I spy one of my favourite serums (Genifique) and also an eyeshadow primer (Aquatique). I'm getting more and more excited for this box. I want to thank you all so much for voting for me :). I would've been happy just to be in the top 25 but thanks to all your votes, I'm in second place! The contest isn't over yet though, so please keep voting! (Link!) Hope you're all having a great day! I will be back later with a proper blog-vember post & also the winners of my Glymm/Luxe box giveaway :). xo, Aleeza

I love dark purples in the Fall so naturally I was drawn to this one from Orly's Birds of a Feather collection. It's cutely named Fowl Play and it's a dark purple jelly based polish. I only applied two coats but it would probably take three or four to get a really opaque color. It's just the nature of the polish.
I love the glitter in this though. It's not the traditional cookie cut glitter but random shatters and flakes of glitter. Plus, it's a different sheen in various lighting. I should've taken a macro shot to illustrate this better. Hopefully you can see the gorgeousness of the polish.
It wears well. I've been wearing it for a few days now and have yet to see any chips. I also love the bottles of Orly polishes. The rubberized lid is amazing; it makes it really easy to open the bottles and provides a good grip when painting your nails.
I'm thinking of going for a pure glitter polish for my next mani (instead of just as an accent nail). I'm becoming obsessed with glitter.

On another note...
I finally received my Starbucks gold card in the mail today. I will spare you the embarrassing details but I will say that I was unabashedly beaming when I opened my mailbox.
Hope you all had a great Monday!

Happy Sunday, everyone!
This is my weekend(ish) in pictures. I've had my Canon T3i for quite some time now and I've noticed that I've been shooting a majority of my pictures in automatic mode. Something I'm beginning to realize is blasphemous in the DSLR community. So I'm trying to rectify this.
First, I went into Indigo to read up on exposure settings, aperture, shutter speeds, and ISOs.
Second, it's kind of a b-i-t-c-h carrying around a bulky camera. Especially for us girls (or at least for me personally) because we have our purses in one hand and a latte of some sort in the other. I was glad to have my boyfriend with me to carry my bag for me (even though he says he finds it emasculating and would never admit to doing it if asked point blank by his coworkers).
Third, I don't think I properly captured the DSLR's amazing picture taking capability in these photos. I'm still learning. One day though.
At the Eaton Centre
OOTD? Skinny jeans, white shirt, 3/4 pleather sleeved blazer, animal print infinity scarf, and Louis Vuitton Neverfull PM
Williams-Somona.. On a hunt for an Espresso machine
Thinking of re-reading this. It's been years and years.
My second drink for the day: iced tall caramel soy latte
Ice Skating at Nathan Phillips Square
Poutine from one of the street vendors
Sobey's Urban Fresh
Bakery in Chinatown
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Glymm hosted a few mystery box contests on their Facebook age a few weeks ago and I happened to be one of the early winners. There were three or four contests and as each contest passed there were fewer winners but bigger prizes. Like I said, I entered the very first contest so the box I received is the smallest prize. But it's still one heck of a box!
So if you aren't already following Glymm on Facebook (Link!), I would definitely recommend it because they host different contests with amazing prizes!
When I took off the sleeve of my mystery box, I was greeted with the traditional pink box. Opening the box there was a ribbon and also a little card. On the normal boxes, the note would contain a product listing but in the mystery box there was just a little welcome note.
Unwrapping the tissue paper, I was amazed at the products inside! Probably my favourite Glymm box and I didn't even pay for it. It was free!!
There were five full-sized products, two extra accessories, and a jar of jelly bellies!
1. John Masters Organics - Orange & Ginseng Exfoliating Bar, $11.20
This is a refreshing bar that contains organic orange and lime peels which gently exfoliate your skin while the ginseng root revitalizes the skin. This also contains palm and coconut oils that create an invigorating lather with high glycerin content. It leaves your skin feeling clean, soft and smooth.
2. MyFaceWorks, I Need a Detox Mask, $9.00
I love these masks! They are rich in anti-oxidants and provides instant hydration to the skin. The mask is made of a non-woven fabric which feels firm and helps soothe the skin.
3. John Masters Organics, Lip Calm, $8.40
A great lip balm that's made with organic ingredients to keep your lips moisturized during the winter season.
4. butter LONDON, No More Waity, Katie, $17.00 & butter LONDON, Banana File, $2.40
This gorgeous butter LONDON was limited edition (inspired my Kate Middleton) but it was re-released in the permanent collection because it was such a popular polish. It's a soft, elegant greige shade with a splash of lilac glitter for the perfect marriage to combine fashion and fun.
This nail file is made from a soft 180 grit. This makes sure that your nails aren't damaged. I love the unique shape! It's ergonomically designed to fit the curve of your nails which makes it easy to shape them.
5. Blinc, Mascara, $30.00
This mascara is one of a kind. It forms tiny water-resistant "tubes" around your lashes rather than traditional mascara that coats your lashes. It's great because it doesn't smudge, clump, or leave you with racoon eyes.
6. Compact Mirror
A great compact mirror that will fit in your bag. There are two mirrors, one is a regular mirror and one is magnified. Plus the outside is a cute red faux crocodile print.
Like in all Glymm boxes, there's a jar of Jelly Belly candies. The flavours in this was coconut & grape/plum (I can't remember the flavour now).
This was a really great box! Like I said, I would definitely recommend checking out Glymm's Facebook page so you don't miss out on awesome giveaways like this! :)

Clockwise: Clarisonic Mia, Subscription to Topbox, Loose Button or Glymm, Pandora Bracelet,
Kobo Vox, Tiffany necklace, New Balance 890 shoes
We are a month away from Christmas so I figured it was appropriate to do a wishlist. Just some things that I like, own, would like to own, or think would make a great gift.
1. Clarisonic Mia, Sephora, $120
I owned the original Clarisonic and it is amazing! It really helps clean and exfoliate your face to leave it smooth and feeling fresh. I would love to have the Mia because it's more portable (and less expensive) but does the same thing.
2. Subscription to Topbox, Loose Button, or Glymm, Price Varies
You all know I love my subscription boxes and I think they'd make a perfect gift! Loose Button and Glymm both offer gift packages. It's a great gift for your mom, your friends, your sister, your sister in-law, basically anyone remotely interested in beauty products.
It's a monthly box that comes directly to the door with great products
3. Pandora Bracelet, Pandora Store or other Authorized Jeweler, Price Varies
You all know I love Pandora (and if you're not familiar with it, click here to watch a little video on it). I also think it makes the perfect gift. You can customize the bracelet completely, from the bracelet style to the beads you choose.
Even charms are a perfect gift. I know I always love receiving charms for my bracelet. It's especially sweet if it's a charm that has a special meaning. I'm such a sucker for stuff like that.
4. Kobo Vox, Indigo/Chapters, $199
I love reading. I've read my fair share of books. My only pet peeve with reading is only being able to carry one or two books with you on the go. That's what makes e-readers so great. It allows you to be able to carry a library worth of books in your purse or bag. It's the perfect travel companion for all you readers out there!
I like the new Kobo Vox because it's a color display and it's touch screen. Perfect for reading magazines and novels!
5. Elsa Paretti Diamonds by the Yard necklace, Tiffany & Co, $345
I think it's fair to say that a little blue box is always a popular gift. There are so many lovely pieces from Tiffany that would suit anyone's style and would meet anyone's price range. The popular ones being the Return to Tiffany Heart bracelet, the bead bracelet, or any one of the hundreds of charms available.
This is currently one of my favourite pieces. I love simple necklaces like this. They're just so elegant and beautiful. Pieces like this you can wear for any occasion (formal or casual).
6. New Balance 890 Rainbow Runners, New Balance stores, $139.95
The colours on these runners are amazing! I'm a runner (though currently I've been more of a fair-weather runner) and I'm always looking for unique statement running shoes that are not only comfortable but eye-catching.
These are them, for sure.
New Balance is one of my favourite brands of atheletic footwear. They offer great support, especially if you're runner. They're lightweight and they really last.
On another note...
I'm not going to lie, I struggled hard to come up with this list. I had no idea what I wanted for Christmas. Unlike prior years, if someone asked me what I wanted, I knew exactly what I wanted (to the color, size, and quantity). This year there's nothing out there that I'm craving to have.
I think Project 10 Pan is working. Ever since I've put a hiatus on shopping, I haven't had that zealous monkey on my back to spend money. Strange.
What's on your wishlist?

So if you read my blog post or watched my video on my November Luxe Box, you'll know that I (as well as others) received an expired Moroccanoil styling cream. I contacted Loose Button and above is the email I received regarding it.
So, all the customers who received the styling cream in their November Luxe Box will be receiving a Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray and also a special surprise in the next box.
I'm happy with the customer service and look forward to the next box!
Today I wanted to share with you some of my current favourite bronzers! I love bronzer (even though I already have an olive/tanned complexion). Bronzers are great to add a bit of color, glow, or contour to your face!
1. PUR Minerals Mineral Glow
This is a new bronzer that I have been loving. I got a travel sized sample of it from one of my subscription boxes and I have been loving it every since. Mineral glow blends well to give my skin a natural look. Though summer is long gone, I still enjoy mixing this with a blush for a perfect sun-kissed look. It's not a matte bronzer, there is shimmer but it's not overwhelming. Overall, it's a great way to brighten up the face. Great for any time of the year.
2. Hard Candy "Fox in a Box" Skinny Dipping
Another newbie in my collection. The Hard Candy box powder came out sometime in the summer and they are amazing! Super pigmented and super inexpensive (especially compared to Benefit box powders). Skinny Dipping is probably my favourite. It's a gorgeous bronzing duo and it's lovely on the cheeks. I suppose the color payoff of this wouldn't exactly be classified as a bronzer but more of a blush... but I'm going to include it anyway.
It's a matte finish and adds a gorgeous peachy/coral/bronze sheen to your cheeks. You have to apply this with a light hand and you cannot forgo blending. It's just so pigmented that if you apply too much, there's a chance you'll come out looking clownish. It's such a vibrant color but it really is one of my favourite blush/bronzers.
3. NARS Heat
This is actually a pressed powder that I got last year. At the time, this was the perfect color for my skin tone. Now it's way too dark for all over the face so I use it to contour. It's also a matte finish, it's silky smooth to apply, and it blends easily.
4. NARS Laguna
This is a cult favourite. I don't think I can say anything about this that you guys don't know already. It is a great bronzer! Probably even my all time favourite. I don't know what it is about it. It's the perfect color and it applies seamlessly for the perfect glow.
5. Benefit Hoola
Another popular favourite. This isn't as flattering on everyone as Laguna is. Again, it's a matte finish but it's a little dark. It's great for contouring! It has the ability to make you look muddy though. Depending on how you apply it and what your skin tone is.
Still, I really like it. It works great with my skin tone. I avoid looking muddy by applying a little at a time and blending well. It's always easier to add than to take away. The great thing about this bronzer (despite the price) is that it lasts a long time! Seriously. I have had this bronzer for a few years now and I still have tons of product left. The packaging will probably give before I actually hit pan on this.
What are some of your favourite bronzers? Let me know. I'm still on a Project 10 Pan but I can still look :).

I have been loving this RGB nail lacquer. I received my first bottle of it in my Glymm box and despite the fact I have many colors in my collection similar to it, I was still excited to try it out.
RGB promises to be one of the most chip resistant polishes on the market. A tagline that definitely caught my eye because one of my biggest pet peeves is chipped nail polish a day or so after you apply it (which is funny because I also happen to love peeling off nail polish).
I've been wearing this polish for about five days now and it still looks as great as the first day I applied it. I am really pleased with the quality and the staying power.
The color I'm wearing is in Deep. It's a very dark purple. It almost looks black but up close you can see the tinge of purple. If you don't want to go out and spend $18 for this color, you will easily be able to find a dupe (namely, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark or Essie Devil's Advocate or even Essie Carry On).
Still, it's a gorgeous color. Perfect for the Fall/Winter season ahead.

Have a fabulous day everyone!

I was debating whether to do one big giveaway with one winner but then I thought it would be more fun to have a bunch of different giveaways and a bunch of different winners.
In the next few weeks, I will be hosting several giveaways with a bunch of my favorite products that you've probably heard me rave about! I plan on using different mediums for my giveaways so be sure to check back on my blog and my channel (and even my twitter).

I received my Glymm box the same day that I got my Luxe Box so my excitement was doubled. I like Glymm's bright pink packaging. I always smile when I see the bright pink box in my mailbox.
Inside the box, the paper and products are wrapped in a cute bow. There's the usual notecard. On one side is a little note from Glymm and on the other side is a list of all the products.
I received five products this month, and two of them were full-size. Also, in the box was the familiar jar of Jelly Belly candies (the flavours this month are cherry and I think chocolate/cocoa).
1. Orlane - Light Smoothing Cream (Full-Size: $80, 50ml)
This Orlane Light Smoothing Cream is a hypoallergenic day cream. It is said to be infused with rich vitamins and minerals to defend your skin against daily toxins. It is supposed to leave your skin smooth, soft, radiant, and well protected against irritations.
2. Rahua - Luxury Shampoo & Conditioner ($32/$34, 275ml each)
Rahua is a natural, organic hair care system which contains the precious Rahua nut oil, found deep in the Amazon rainforest. It is only sold at posh salons around the world. I am excited to try this though my hair isn't color treated. I could always use more bounce, body, and shine!
3. Lise Watier - Flash Lift Radiance Vial ($27, 7 vials, 1ml/vial)
I've already received this in a past Luxe box but I have yet to use it. I have heard some great things about it though. It is a vitalizing serum that can be applied any time of the day. It's formulated for all skin types and it's made to erase the signs of fatigue and smooth the appearance of wrinkles. I've also heard that applying it before foundation and makeup helps it stay and last all day long.
4. Annabelle - Smudge Paint ($10.95, 2g)
This is a full-size product. It's an Annabelle smudge paint. Annabelle is a Canadian cosmetic company that can usually be found at drugstores (like Shoppers Drugmart). This is a potted creamy gel shadow that can double as an eyeliner. The color I received is a gorgeous purple eggplant color. I am also a fan of the packaging. There is a built in brush which makes it easy to apply.
5. RGB nail lacquer - Deep ($18, 125ml)
I also received a full-size bottle of RGB nail lacquer. I've heard great things about this nail polish. It is chip resistant, ultra glossy, and 3Free. The color I received is called deep and it is a dark plum purple. It almost looks black. It reminds me a lot of one of my favourite OPI colors, Lincoln Park After Dark.
It's a gorgeous color. I have a lot of polishes in this color family so I would've loved to have received a lighter, brighter shade. This is one of my favourite lacquer colours though, especially for the Fall/Winter season, so this polish will not go unused.
Overall, this was a great box. There is a good assortment of products and brands, and there were two full-size products!
If you bought a Glymm box this month, let me know what products you received!
P.S., Watch the video unboxing below :)..
