Working it Out

Written by:

It was such a nice day out today so I decided to go for a little run. I did put on a sweater before I went out but it was a last minute addition so I didn't commit it to film.

This was the first time I went for a run in a long time. It has been weeks, maybe even months. Needless to say, it was difficult. But at least I looked cute while I was gasping for breath and nursing a side cramp.

I love Lululemon's athletic wear. I've had both these items for years and I still love wearing them. I have noticed that Lululemon's quality has degraded a little bit since I first began shopping there many moons ago. Alas that hasn't stopped me from spending my money there. I have limited my purchases but their groove pant/short and wonder under crop still lure me in.

Besides the cute "workout wear," I also like bringing along some tunes and some water.

I bring my Water Bobble everywhere with me. I just love it so much. I dislike tap water a lot but I also equally dislike buying (overpriced) bottled water. So the Water Bobble is the best of both worlds: tap water that doesn't taste like tap water and it's environmentally friendly.

I've also been obsessed with Drake's song "Headlines." Seriously. I love it. Sometimes I will even just have it on repeat. Over and over again. I can't wait for his next album to release! I don't know what it is but I love his music. Never really cared for him when he was on Degrassi, but I can't get enough of his music.

What's on your workout playlist?

On another note…

I am really disappointed with my TNA hard plastic phone case from Aritzia.

First of all, it was a really bad idea to buy the white version. It attracts dirt like crazy. It's also virtually impossible to clean. The dirt just stains. It's really unattractive. That was my fault though. I thought the white looked really chic. I should've been practical and gotten the black or even the pink one.

What really prompted the buyer's remorse was the fact that I've only had this case for a couple weeks and already the rubberized coating is peeling. Plus it's taking all my self-control not to speed the process up by picking at it. I'm embarrassed to say how much I paid for it considering the shoddy craftsmanship.

If you're thinking of buying a hard plastic phone case from TNA/Aritzia, think again and save your money. It's definitely not worth it. If you really want one of their branded phone cases, get a silicone one. From my experience with those, they will last you much longer!

Now on to finding a new phone case…

Happy Monday, everyone!

Treasure Hunt | Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss Palette

Written by:

I find that shopping at Winners is hit or miss. Sometimes you leave with an awesome deal and sometimes you don't. I love browsing through their beauty section because sometimes they have some great finds. For instance, this Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss Palette for $29.99 (originally $45). I bought it at my local winners about a month ago and I saw that they had a new batch when I went in today, so I figured I'd share this find with you.

This palette contains four great glosses: Posey Shimmer, Pastel Pink, Bellini Shimmer, and Golden Beige Shimmer. It also comes with a mini lip brush. The glosses are definitely wearable and not drying on the lips. Plus, it's a really great deal!

l-r: Posey, Pastel Pink, Bellini, Golden Beige

I know that not all Winners carry the same items but it wouldn't hurt to look if you're interested in this palette. Also, it doesn't hurt to just pop in every once in a while anyway. I have found some great brands from Stila to Smashbox to Seche Vite.

Have you found any great deals lately?

On another note...

I think I'm going to try to blog every day in November. I've been unintentionally blogging everyday and I think I'm going to start making it... intentional. I've always wanted to do a "Vlog-Everyday-In-Whatever-Month-It-Is" but blogging is much easier and less time consuming.

I've been having a lot of fun blogging. In the very beginning, I started a blog to accompany my channel, but I'm starting to really get into it! :)

Anyway, hope everyone had a great Sunday!

Beauty Buy: NARS Danmari Palette

Written by:

I have been waiting for this palette to come to Canada for weeks and now it has!

While I'm supposed to be on Project 10 Pan, I couldn't pass up on this limited edition NARS cheek palette (which is exclusive to Sephora). I was ecstatic when my amazing boyfriend surprised me with this the other day (even though he doesn't understand the allure of this palette). So technically I didn't break Project 10 Pan, right?

Right ;).

This palette comes with six high-pigmented cheek products: hungry heart (highlighter), super orgasm, desire, casino (bronzer), orgasm, and sin.

Though I would've loved to have seen other colors (like Taj Mahal or lovejoy) in this palette, the colors that they did choose are gorgeous. If you're new to NARS, it's a great palette to have. Even if you have these colors in your collection, this palette is still great. It offers some great cult classics. Great for traveling. Plus the mirror in this palette is fabulous.

Each powder comes with 0.12 oz of product. For the blush, a full size contains 0.16 oz (so you get 3/4 of a full size!). For the bronzer and highlighter, you get a lot less product than the full size (considering a full-sized bronzer contains 0.28 oz of product -- you only get about 40% of the full size). Still, this palette will probably last a while because each blush/bronzer is so pigmented that you only need to use little at a time.

Onto the swatches. This is only one swipe of each product. Like I said, great pigmentation. From left to right: hungry heart, casino, orgasm, super orgasm, desire, and sin.

Will you be getting this palette? A lot of people have been waiting for this palette, so if you are interested, you should hurry to your nearest Sephora.

On another note..

I am still obsessed with Hello Panda biscuits. They're delicious and I still can't get enough. Though, my new favorite might be the double chocolate version.

Also, I've finally finished uploading all my old videos on my new channel. I'll be uploading a new video tomorrow (I think).

Ok, that's it for now.

Hope you're having a great Saturday!

Beauty Buy: EcoTools Retractable Kabuki Brush

Written by:

EcoTools brushes are definitely my favorite drugstore makeup brushes. If you've ever tried one before, I'm sure you would agree with me. The  brushes are 100% cruelty-free and environmentally friendly! The bristles are synthetic but they are so soft. The handles/packaging are made from recycled materials. Plus it's affordable and you can find it at any drugstore (or Wal-mart).

One of my newer favorites from EcoTools is their retractable kabuki brush. I've had this brush for a while but only recently started using it regularly. I like to bring it with me in my makeup bag. It's a great brush to have especially if you're on the go.

It's multi-purpose. I've been using it to touch up my face with my Pur Minerals 4-in-1 pressed powder throughout the day, but it can also be used for blush or bronzer.

Like I said, the packaging is great if you're on the move. It retracts into the barrel and has a lid so you don't have to worry about damaging the bristles while it jostles around in your purse or travel bag.

Have you tried EcoTools? What's your favorite brush? :)

On another note..

On October 4th, 2011, Starbucks introduced this new reward program in Canada. Basically, you collect stars with every Starbucks purchase and once you've accumulated a certain amount, you get certain rewards. There are three levels: welcome level, green level, and gold level. I won't explain all the details, if you would like more information you can go here. But basically the main differences between green and gold is that with gold you get a free drink with every 15 purchases and you get a shiny gold Starbucks card, personalized with your name. That's it really. Nonetheless,  I made it my personal mission to get to the gold level as soon as possible.

Yesterday, I finally achieved the Gold Starbucks reward level. I am almost ashamed of how proud I am to say that. It took about a month. Though if we count the actual days, it took much less because the majority of times that I went to Starbucks was when I had class (I would have multiple purchases per visit).

Now, I am just waiting impatiently for my gold card to arrive. Apparently it could take six to eight. And now that the chase is over, I'm already losing interest.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Not Your Typical November Outfit

Written by:

Don't let my outfit fool you... It was pretty chilly out today. I will be the first to admit that I am not a very practical dresser. If I want to wear something, I will wear it no matter what the weather conditions are. And today, I really wanted to wear this skirt.

I recently purchased it from H&M a week or so ago and I love it! I don't know whether it's because of the style (or the horse print) but I had to have it the moment I saw it.

I paired it with tights because I do have some self-preservation instincts and I knew that going outside with bare legs was not a good idea. However, I came to realize that tights & this skirt were a bad combination. The skirt kept clinging to the tights, and in turn, I had to keep readjusting the skirt to prevent a peep show.

Nonetheless, I still love this skirt.

A Twist on Animal Print

Written by:

Like I said, I love knit anything in the fall. They just look so cozy and warm. This top half of this outfit is basically an advertisement for the Gap. I have always loved the store... even though many of their clothes are overpriced for my liking.

My Tory Burch reva flats are my favorite flats of all time. I've had them for years. I bought them back when I was in high school and I have been wearing them religiously ever since. They go with everything and they are so comfy to walk in.

I have two pairs. One in leather and one in patent leather. I have yet to venture to other colors of the reva flat. I will one day though. I have to say that the patent reva flats are uncomfortable. Really uncomfortable. I don't even wear them much anymore because they're so uncomfortable. If you're a first time buyer, just beware.

Also, I'm excited that I've actually started to notice a change in the length of my hair. I cannot wait to have long hair again. I miss the versatility of having long hair. A few more months :).

Yes, my top has birds on it. I am loving this twist on animal print.

Hacked :(

Written by:

Yesterday my YouTube channel was hacked :(. It's quite annoying. I can't access my account and all my videos are MIA.

I've contacted YouTube to rectify the situation but I'm told it could take about a week. So as of right now, please ignore any messages or activity coming from that account.

In lieu of waiting it out and seeing what happens, I've decided to just start a whole new channel. I've never been a patient person, nor have I been one to take things lying down.

I like to think of this as a fresh start. In the next few days, I will be uploading my older videos and also all my future videos on my new channel:

Right now, I'm in the process streamlining my youtube/tumblr/blog/twitter so that all of my followers, subscribers, and readers will be least affected.

My new blog will be synced with this blog. You will just be redirected.

I've changed my tumblr account to (but that has also been synced with my old tumblr account).

Lastly, my twitter shall remain the same.

I just wanted to thank everyone for being so patient through this transition :).

Ps, hopefully this little hiatus from YouTube will encourage me to blog more :).
