Outfit of the Day: Holiday Party

Holidays mean parties and parties mean dressing up. I have been lacking in updates lately so I want to share this quick outfit I threw on. It was for a holiday party one of my friends was throwing on Monday night.

I wasn't planning on attending (since I hadn't really seen or spoken to this friend in a while) but a wise person reminded me that friendships are like plants which need to be watered every once in a while.

LBDs are a staple in any closet. They are easy, quick, and flattering. The dress is this season so it is still available. It has a gathered corset top and pindot lace straps. Also the zipper is visible on the back. I forgot to take a picture of it but it adds an edgy look to the dress.

My face of the night was a smokey eye and a red lip. It is a pretty classic look that never fails. I filmed a tutorial, which I will be uploading tomorrow. It is a really easy makeup look, perfect for your next holiday party (or any other occasion).

On another note...

Today was Winter Solstice! I love solstices. I'm excited for the days to get longer again. It seems much more positive when the days are getting longer than when they're getting shorter.

I am also excited for Christmas. Mainly because I cannot wait for the malls and roads to get back to normal (or at least the normal city traffic).
